| Paul was probably the most famous
letter writer in history. His epistles are some of the longest
documents we have from the ancient world. In this series,
we are introduced to his first three epistles – one
to the Galatian churches and two to the Thessalonian church.
Paul’s epistle to the Galatians is the charter of Christian
liberty. It condemns the extremes of legalism and licence;
and establishes the balance of liberty.
The two Thessalonian epistles address two key aspects of our
Christian life – our wait and our walk. 1 Thessalonians
deals with sexual purity, work and resurrection, while 2 Thessalonians
is a detailed teaching on the Lord’s return.
